I lie awake early this Easter morning feeling thankful for the precious sacrifice made on the cross so that I could live a life free from sin and death. I’m so glad He isn’t there anymore and is ruling and reigning in heaven and in my life. My Jesus’ death and resurrection means that I don’t just get to live a life knowing I’m saved from hell, but I get to live a life empowered to change the world!
A few months go, I was praying and felt the Lord say, “Ask me what season you’re in.” So I did and I felt like it was one of those moments when time stood still. He said, ” Restoration. You are in a season of restoration. I am restoring many things that were lost years ago.” By His death and resurrection all things are restored.
Indeed, this has been a season of restoration and I feel it’s only the beginning. I’m so grateful for how faithful He has been to me. Even in years when I turned my back on Him and could barely stand on my own two feet, he was there holding me up. He is a good, good Savior and friend. It’s because of His sacrifice that I am free. As the song goes:
Death could not hold You, the veil torn before You
You silence the boast of sin and grave
The heavens are roaring, the praise of Your glory
For You are raised to life again
You have no rival, You have no equal
Now and forever God you reign
Yours is the kingdom, Yours is the glory
Your is the name above all names.
What a beautiful name it is, the name of Jesus.
You are so good Lord, thank you for loving me enough to lay down your life. I am forever grateful.
